
Josef Cannon is a graduate of Kings College, London, and was called to the Bar by Lincolns Inn in 2002.
He has a deliberately broad practice covering most areas of local authority law, in particular town and country planning, housing, licensing and employment. He acts for and advises a number of local authorities, private and social landlords, developers, the licensed trade, regulatory bodies and private individuals. He also advises and represents all sides in more general common law matters and disputes and has experience of prosecuting and defending regulatory crime.
He is recognised as a leading planning junior in the Legal 500 2009.
He co-ordinates and teaches on the Certificate in Licensing Law at the University of Westminster.
In 2008 Josef completed a 4-month Pegasus Scholarship in Georgetown, Guyana, where he was working as a legal adviser to the Guyanese Government.
