Johanna was called to the Bar in 1999 having read English law at King’s College, London and French law at Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg, France. She specialises in planning & environmental law, local government & public law and licensing. She is regularly instructed to act both for and increasingly against Local Authorities in court and at public inquiries.

Johanna is ranked as a leading planning junior in the most recent edition of the Legal 500 (2009). In the Legal 500 (September 2007) she is described as an impressive new entrant and ‘forming a real part of a team’. Johanna also appears as one of the highest rated planning barristers under 35 in the Planning Magazine Legal Survey 2008.

Johanna is a Committee Member of the Planning and Environmental Bar Association, a member of the Administrative Law Bar Association and a founding Advisor to the Francophone Legal Centre, Islington.
