Kuljit was called to the Bar in 1998. She undertook her pupillage in chambers and practised as a barrister at 199 Strand before re-joining chambers in September 2006. Her practice consists of all aspects of Chambers work. She has particular expertise in housing, community care, judicial review, regulatory crime and landlord and tenant. Kuljit also has a growing planning practice.

She has experience of appearing in the County and Magistrates and Crown Courts, the High Court and Court of Appeal, planning inquiries, the LVT and other Tribunals.

She acts for a wide range of local authority and private clients and is a founding supporter of the Social Housing Lawyers Association and a member of the Administrative Law Bar Association and the Anti-Social Behaviour forum at Scotland Yard.

In addition to her practice Kuljit regularly provides seminars and training to her wide client base and is a regular speaker at chambers’ seminars. Recent topics have included ‘Appeal proof homelessness decisions’, ‘Defending Disrepair Claims’ and ‘ASBO’s: when to apply and practical drafting hints’.
